Check assembled dimensions separately from packaging dimensions and the size of the base panel. For a tree, record its full height, widest projection and deepest projection when built in the approved arrangement. Include beds, branches or hammocks that extend beyond the base. For a cabinet, also account for opening doors and the space needed to remove the tray. Compare those measurements with the actual room, including skirting, sloping ceilings, nearby furniture and door movement.
A product may fit inside the available rectangle while still blocking access or making cleaning difficult. If a listing provides several diagrams, confirm they refer to your chosen variant. Do not assume a colour or size option uses identical measurements unless the specification says so. Marking the complete outline or drawing a scaled plan can expose problems before ordering and is more reliable than judging size from a styled room photograph.
For a cupboard or litter cabinet, draw two outlines: the closed footprint and the space used with doors open. The first determines placement; the second shows whether routine cleaning is possible once the room is furnished.
