Floor-to-Ceiling Cat Tree 230–250cm – Modern Vine

How should I inspect a ceiling cat tree’s tension fittings?

Follow model-specific checks for tension fittings, alignment, contact areas and supplementary anchors, especially after changes or movement.

Use the inspection procedure and intervals supplied by the manufacturer, because tension mechanisms differ. Check that the tree remains aligned, the contact points sit as intended and no component has shifted or become damaged.

Look for changes after moving the tree, changing flooring or noticing unusual movement during use. Do not keep tightening an uncertain mechanism without understanding its limits; excessive adjustment may damage the product or the surface supporting it. If the instructions specify a reference mark, locking component or particular adjustment method, preserve that information for future checks. Keep the cat off the tree while investigating movement. Contact the supplier if the fitting repeatedly loses its intended position or if the ceiling or floor shows deterioration. An inspection should confirm the whole setup, including platforms and any supplementary anchors, rather than focusing only on the top knob.

Record the first correctly installed position with clear photographs of the base and top connection. Later pictures can help explain a visible change to the supplier, but matching photographs alone cannot certify that the required tension is correct.
