Wall-Mounted Cat Climbing Set | 6 Pieces – The Sky Route

Should a cat wall have more than one way down?

Plan alternative cat-wall exits where useful, especially for shared routes, while keeping every descent accessible and properly supported.

More than one practical exit can be useful, particularly where cats share the route or a high resting spot. It reduces reliance on a single narrow path that another cat or an obstacle could block.

This does not mean adding extra shelves anywhere there is empty wall. Each route still needs suitable platforms, clear landing space and installation that follows the product instructions. Consider how your cat currently moves around raised furniture and whether it likes to retreat quietly. In a small layout, a lower resting area with a clear return path may be more useful than a complicated high loop. Avoid creating an alternative descent that requires a much larger jump than the main route. The purpose of a second option is comfortable choice, not extra height or a more dramatic-looking wall display.

Imagine another cat sitting on the main middle shelf. Trace whether the first cat can retreat without passing it closely. That simple scenario reveals whether the second route is a real alternative or merely rejoins the same bottleneck.
