Keep the cat off the tree and investigate the change before allowing further use. Do not simply push the pole back and assume the problem is resolved.
Check the installation instructions, the floor and ceiling contact areas, the connections between sections and any required wall supports. Consider whether the structure was moved, the flooring changed or an accessory repositioned. Photograph the movement and contact the supplier if the cause is unclear or a component appears damaged. Avoid repeated tightening beyond the specified procedure. A shifting pole may indicate an unsuitable surface, incorrect setup or a worn part, and each possibility needs a different response. Reopen access only after the correct issue has been addressed and the whole installation checked. Your cat should not be used as the test load for a doubtful repair.
Note when the shift appeared: after a room move, flooring work, accessory change or ordinary use. This history can help the supplier investigate the cause; it should not be used to dismiss unexplained movement as normal settling.
