Cat Furniture & Accessories Size Guide

Choose cat furniture and accessories by your cat’s measurements and the dimensions of the selected product. Labels such as M, L and XL are not consistent across different designs.

Before you compare products

  • Note your cat’s current weight and the space it occupies when resting naturally.
  • Measure the floor area available, allowing space for entrances, walkways and cleaning.
  • Check the selected size or colour option: photographs may show another variant.
  • Ask for any missing interior dimensions or load limits before ordering.

Cat towers and trees

Overall height does not establish whether a tower fits your cat. Check each platform, hammock and enclosed condo separately, together with the manufacturer’s stated load limits and installation requirements.

Part What to compare
Resting platform Usable length and width against your cat’s resting position
Hammock Usable diameter and depth, attachment points and stated load limit
Condo Entrance width and height, internal floor area and room to turn
Base and mounting Full footprint, suitable placement and any required fixings
Floor-to-ceiling tower Your measured ceiling height against the adjustable range and mounting instructions

Cat beds and mats

Measure the area your cat occupies when curled up or stretched out, depending on how it usually sleeps. Compare that area with the usable cushion or mat dimensions. Raised sides take up space inside a bed’s exterior footprint.

The Velvet Nest and AeroMat Chill Pad have different shapes and size options. Check each product’s measurements rather than carrying a letter size from one to the other.

Enclosed litter boxes

Check the entrance and usable interior, allowing room for your cat to enter, turn and dig. Exterior dimensions and weight ranges alone do not establish fit. Automatic models also have manufacturer requirements for age, weight, litter and operation.

Harnesses and collars

Follow the selected product’s measuring instructions and compare your cat’s measurements with its actual adjustment range. For a harness, check all required measurements, including chest and neck where specified. A collar needs its own neck measurement and fitting instructions.

Do not choose a harness by breed, body weight or a generic XS–L chart. Recheck the fit as your cat grows. See the Kitten Harness & Lead Set and Tufted Collar for product details.
