Some floor-to-ceiling trees are designed for large cats, but suitability must be established from the specific model's documented loading, platform sizes and installation requirements. A pole reaching the ceiling is not a safety guarantee by itself.
Check whether each resting component has its own limit and whether the complete configuration requires wall or ceiling fixings. Your cat also needs a usable route with enough space to turn and descend. A strong system with small, closely obstructed platforms may still be uncomfortable for a long-bodied cat. Ask for clarification if the listing uses broad terms such as heavy-duty without explaining the tested configuration or applicable limits. Once installed, follow the maker's inspection guidance and reassess any movement. Select a system that fits both the cat and the building, rather than relying on height or appearance alone.
Separate body weight from body length on your comparison sheet. A long-bodied cat may be within a documented weight limit yet still need a larger platform to turn comfortably, so one measurement cannot stand in for the other.
