A floor-level bed can be a useful additional choice even when your cat has a bed on its tree. Cats may choose different resting places depending on temperature, household activity, age and preference. An accessible low bed also means comfortable rest does not depend on climbing. Place it in a quiet, dry location with enough usable space for the cat's normal sleeping posture. In a shared home, avoid putting it directly beneath a contested platform where another cat's movement repeatedly disturbs it.
You do not need to remove the elevated bed or assume one level is always better. Watch which conditions make each option appealing and retain the choices that work. If a cat suddenly stops using elevated places it previously enjoyed, arrange a veterinary check rather than concluding that its taste has simply changed. The extra bed supports choice, but it does not explain a new mobility problem.
A floor-level bed can also remain useful while a tower is being cleaned or repaired. Place it where it functions independently, rather than treating it only as decoration beneath the tower’s busiest climbing and landing area.
