Flower Cat Tree 162cm | Multi-Level Tower – Floral Canopy

How do curved and rectangular cat resting platforms compare?

Compare curved and rectangular cat platforms by supported sleeping area, access, obstructions and your cat’s usual resting posture.

Compare the supported area your cat can use, the entry point and the space available for turning. A rectangular platform may offer a longer straight resting area, while a curved shape may suit a cat that curls up, but the actual dimensions matter more than the category.

A wide outer curve can include sections too narrow for the body, and raised edges may reduce the usable centre. Look for overhead photographs or diagrams rather than judging from the front alone. Consider how the platform connects to the rest of the tree and whether a support interrupts the resting space. Observe your cat's usual posture on familiar furniture and use that as a reference. A pleasing silhouette can still work well, provided its practical area matches the animal instead of merely matching the room's style.

A 50 × 40 cm rectangle has straight edges across that footprint; a curved platform with the same maximum dimensions can taper considerably. Compare the actual outline, rather than treating the bounding rectangle as fully usable space.
