There is no single current price for every Maine Coon. As a broad orientation, Cats Protection's UK buying guidance places pedigree cats including Maine Coons within an approximate £800 to £2,000 range, but individual breeder quotes can fall outside it. Treat that as context rather than a verified quote for a particular kitten. Compare what is included: registration, veterinary checks, vaccinations, microchipping, documentation and ongoing support. An adult rescue cat may have a different fee and care package.
Do not let the lowest advertised price outweigh concerns about welfare or missing information. Before committing, add equipment and recurring costs to the purchase price so you can afford appropriate care afterwards. Ask for a written breakdown, visit responsibly and avoid paying under pressure because somebody claims a particular colour or unusually large kitten will sell immediately. Compare two written offers line by line: an apparent saving can disappear if basic care or documentation included in the other price must be arranged separately.
