Floor-to-Ceiling Cat Tree 230–250cm – Modern Vine

How far do floor-to-ceiling cat-tree platforms overhang?

Plan the full width and depth of ceiling-tree platforms, including permitted rotations and obstacles above the base.

Platform overhang depends on the design and sometimes on the way adjustable components are positioned. Request the maximum assembled width and depth, together with a diagram showing where each bed or shelf sits relative to the main pole.

A narrow base measurement does not describe the space occupied at shoulder or head height. Mark the pole position and check the likely outline of upper platforms against curtains, doors, lamps and nearby furniture. If components can rotate, find out which positions the manufacturer permits and whether the advertised footprint assumes one particular arrangement. Also allow room for your cat to climb onto the platform without contacting an obstacle. The useful measurement is the complete working envelope of the tree in your room, not just the small patch of floor covered by its bottom support.

Sketch a top-down circle or outline for each level around the proposed pole centre. This reveals whether a bed at window-handle height collides with an obstruction even though the lower platforms fit comfortably.
