Maine Coon Cat Tree 185cm | Large Cat Tower – Taj-MeowHall

Which cat-tree features match my cat’s habits?

Match open beds, enclosed dens and scratching choices to behaviours you already see, instead of relying on another cat’s product photo.

Match model features to habits you have actually observed over several ordinary days. A cat that stretches across a sofa may prefer a broad open bed; one that regularly retreats into sheltered spaces may use a suitably roomy den. Note whether scratching is upright or horizontal, whether the cat seeks a high lookout and how confidently it moves between levels. Then compare each shortlisted tree against those behaviours.

Do not assume a feature will be popular simply because it appears entertaining to people or because another cat uses it in a photograph. Consider the location too: a favourite resting habit may depend on sunlight, quiet or proximity to the family rather than the furniture alone. Prioritise the features that meet clear needs and treat untested extras as optional. This makes a simpler, well-matched design easier to justify than a more elaborate tower with several cramped or inaccessible components.

Compare the cat’s most-used current resting place with each proposed feature. A cat stretched along a sofa arm and one curled inside a small sheltered space are demonstrating different preferences, even if both are the same breed and weight.
