Look for changes in shape, unexpected movement, cracking, separation and damage around attachment points. Remove washable or detachable covers only as the instructions allow so you can see the underlying surface. A platform that has become tilted or rotates unexpectedly may indicate a connection problem even when the top fabric looks intact. Around joints, inspect for gaps, loose inserts, bent fittings or material breaking away.
Keep your hands clear of unstable sections and do not stand beneath a component that could fall. Compare the structure with earlier photographs if you are unsure whether a change is new. Stop access when damage affects support or cannot be assessed confidently. Cosmetic wear and structural damage are different issues, but appearance alone can be misleading; ask the supplier to review clear photographs when the significance is uncertain.
Photograph a suspected change from a consistent angle, including the adjacent support for context. This can make a tilted platform or widening gap easier to describe, but do not delay restricting access while collecting photographs of a potentially failing part.
