The Bothy's listed 9L waste-drawer capacity does not identify a compatible bag or liner. Capacity describes volume, while bag fit depends on the drawer opening, depth, retaining method and the manufacturer's material requirements. Check the exact manual before buying supplies.
Ask whether a bag is required
First confirm whether the supplied instructions require, permit or prohibit a liner in the waste drawer. Do not assume that every automatic unit uses one or that an ordinary household bag is suitable around the mechanism.
Request the fitted dimensions
If a bag is specified, ask for the required opening width, opening depth and usable length when fitted. Find out how it is retained and whether excess material must stay clear of a sensor, seal or moving part. A nominal 9L bag can have very different proportions from another bag with the same volume.
Confirm material and closure requirements
Use only the thickness, material and closure arrangement stated for the model. Handles, drawstrings or scented materials should not be assumed suitable. Ask whether the bag closes before removal or whether another disposal step is specified.
Keep the drawer liner away from the litter surface
A waste-drawer bag and a liner beneath the litter the cat digs in are different products. Permission for one does not establish permission for the other. Follow the separate litter and fill-depth instructions for the surface inside the unit.
