Plan elevated spaces with more than one approach or exit wherever practical. A high perch can become a trap or guarded resource when one cat controls the only route.
Map the choke points
Watch the cats without directing them. Note doorways, narrow shelves, dead-end perches and places where one cat waits for the other. Draw arrows for routes up and down on a simple room plan.
Separate essential resources

Choose furniture by relationships and fit
A tower with several platforms may still have one narrow lower step. Compare each landing with both cats and check the product’s installation and load information. If blocking, stalking or fighting persists, separate the cats safely and seek qualified behaviour advice. Do not force them to share a perch.
