Identify hidden-service questions
Note visible sockets, switches, radiators and pipe routes. Hidden electrical cables, plumbing and structural elements need appropriate assessment before drilling. Do not use a phone photograph or stud-finder result as a guarantee of a complete wall survey.
Agree installation responsibility
The final record should identify who selects the fixings, confirms wall suitability and performs installation. Follow the approved design and professional advice appropriate to the wall. Do not substitute a fixing because it looks similar or copy a method from another building.
Include maintenance and future removal
Ask how the mounted components will be inspected, cleaned and removed, and what access those tasks require. In rented property, obtain the relevant permission before treating a wall repair as a future detail.
Compare a non-wall-mounted route separately
If wall information or permission cannot be confirmed, compare a suitable floor-standing or floor-to-ceiling option using its own instructions.
