A bed may sit near gentle warmth only if the radiator, bed materials and room layout allow it safely. Never press bedding against a heater or assume a cat will move before becoming too warm.
Read both sets of instructions
Check the radiator maker’s clearance guidance and the bed’s care and material information. Keep fabrics away from hot surfaces, valves, portable heaters and exposed cables. A radiator cover is not automatically a load-bearing cat shelf.
Test the place across the day
Room temperature changes when heating cycles on, sunlight enters or doors close. Feel the resting surface regularly and provide water and a cooler alternative elsewhere. Cats who are very young, old or unwell may need individual veterinary advice about temperature.
Protect the exit
Keep the entrance and route away from the heat open. Do not wedge a bed between the radiator and furniture. The Koda Pod is a tent-style hideaway, so its enclosed form makes ventilation and clearance especially important.
