The ceiling must clear the finished tower, but that is not always the only height you need. Some furniture is built vertically in stages; another design may need a long section to be raised, rotated or tensioned. The required working clearance comes from the exact assembly instructions, not from adding an arbitrary allowance to the listed height.
Start with the finished-height filter
The Ultimate PawHouse is listed at 216cm high and the Cat-Cave at 210cm. Compare that figure with the ceiling height at the intended position, including any slope, beam or fitting. This first check only determines whether the assembled height is plausible.
Ask how the tallest section is handled
Request the model-specific instructions before ordering if clearance is tight. Check whether the tower is built upright, whether a section is assembled flat and raised, and whether a top component needs space above it during fitting. If a person or tool must reach a fixing at the top, include that access in the plan.
Do not use the finished height as the length of the longest delivery component. A 216cm tower may arrive as shorter parts, but that cannot be assumed without the packing and assembly information.
Keep the working area clear
Allow the space required by the instructions around the base so parts can be laid out and joined without blocking the exit. Keep cats away from the work zone and never let them climb a partly assembled structure. If two-person assembly is specified, arrange it before beginning.
Tension towers need a different check
A floor-to-ceiling model must fit within its permitted adjustment range and contact suitable surfaces. Do not borrow the process from a fixed-height tower or improvise an extension. Our floor-to-ceiling tower guide covers that separate installation decision.
Ask one precise question
Give Giant Paws the product, room height and final position, then ask: “What is the minimum ceiling and working clearance required by this model's supplied assembly sequence?” Keep the answer with the instructions. If the required clearance is unavailable, choose another position rather than rotating a heavy partly assembled tower experimentally.
