Yes. “Non-slip” describes a base feature; it does not guarantee that a cat bed cannot move on every hard floor. Grip depends on the bed's condition, the floor finish and what sits between them. Check the actual arrangement rather than relying on the label alone.
Begin with a clean, dry contact area
The Velvet Nest listing specifically says its non-slip base depends on the floor surface and conditions. Lift the empty bed and inspect the underside. Clear loose debris using the bed's instructions, then clean the floor by its own care guidance and let both surfaces reach their permitted ready-to-use condition.
Do not use cleaning residue or a damp patch as a grip treatment. If the bed recently returned from washing, follow its drying instructions before replacing it.
Check the whole base
Place the bed on a level area with its underside lying as intended. A folded corner, trapped object or partly supported base changes contact with the floor. Inspect for wear or damage rather than pressing the bed down harder to make it stay.
Observe normal entry and exit
Watch whether the empty bed shifts during gentle handling and whether it moves when the cat enters voluntarily.
