A visual reference helps you explain the look you like. A proposed drawing or written specification should answer the practical questions about the piece being quoted. If a detail matters to fit or use, check that it is stated clearly rather than judging it from perspective.
Check the drawing identity and units
Confirm the design name, revision or date and the units used. Keep the latest version with the written quote. If several images have been exchanged, ask which version represents the proposed order so that a favourite earlier feature is not assumed to remain included.
Read overall and usable dimensions separately
Check width, depth and height, then the clear sizes of entrances, platforms and resting areas. Ask for a side or plan view where a front view hides depth or projections. An overall measurement cannot substitute for the opening or bed size your cat needs.
Follow the route and the cleaning access
Trace the proposed route between levels and identify how each area can be reached for care. Ask about removable parts, assembly sections and any support requirements. Do not estimate structural capacity from the drawing or request an improvised fixing solution.
Match the drawing to the written scope
Check materials, finishes, included components and accessories against the quote. Note any feature that appears in a reference but is not described in the proposal. Ask for clarification before agreement, especially where lighting, plants or room styling could be mistaken for included items.
Keep unresolved points visible
Use a short numbered list: the drawing location, the question and the answer needed. For example, ‘Upper resting area: please confirm clear internal width.’ Agreeing a visual direction should not be mistaken for confirming every unstated measurement.
