Maine Coons are slow to mature, but there is no single month-by-month growth chart that predicts every cat’s adult dimensions. Recheck furniture as the cat changes rather than waiting for a fixed age milestone.
Breed maturity is background information
The GCCF Maine Coon profile describes maturation taking up to four years. It does not mean every cat grows steadily throughout that period, that all weight gain is healthy, or that every one-year-old needs larger furniture.
Ask your vet to assess growth and body condition if you are unsure. Unexpected weight loss, appetite changes or reduced activity should be reported rather than attributed to a growth stage.
Keep a simple fit record

Buy for present suitability and future room
Extra usable space may be helpful, but an adult-sized product must still meet a kitten’s current needs and the manufacturer’s restrictions. Maximum height is not a substitute for a safe, accessible layout.
Do not keep using an item beyond its stated limits while waiting for an upgrade. Instability or damage needs attention immediately, regardless of age.
