Wobble can come from assembly, movement at a connection, the supporting surface, missing anchoring, damage or a product-use mismatch. It does not identify one cause on its own. Keep cats off a tower that rocks, has loose parts or appears damaged while you investigate.
Check against the instructions
- Confirm that every specified part and fixing is installed in the right position.
- Inspect joints, posts, platforms and mounting points for looseness or damage.
- Check that the floor and any wall or ceiling mounting surfaces meet the product requirements.
- Check any stated component and simultaneous-use limits.
- Follow the manufacturer’s adjustment instructions; do not indiscriminately overtighten fittings or add improvised supports.
Movement is not a load test
You cannot infer a tower’s capacity from how much it wobbles, or certify it by placing a cat or improvised test weight on it. Our static and dynamic loads guide explains why a standing load and a landing are different situations without assigning a universal jump-force multiplier.
When to contact the supplier
If movement persists after the prescribed checks, stop use and ask the supplier to assess the assembly and condition. Share the exact model, installation surface and photos of the affected area. Do not assume the only possible answer is buying a heavier base.
Continue the specified maintenance
TRIXIE’s Acadia instructions, for example, call for regular screw checks and retightening when needed. Use your own model’s instructions for the method and inspection schedule.
