The word “reinforced” does not establish that a cat tower is suitable for your cat. What matters is the complete design, its documented limits and installation according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Ask what has been reinforced
A listing may use the word for a base, joint or support. Ask which component it describes and what documentation supports the claimed benefit. Do not assume that an added board or a wider-looking base creates a tested load rating.
Check the complete installation
- Confirm the base dimensions and the required clearance around the tower.
- Check whether wall or ceiling attachment is required.
- Confirm suitable mounting surfaces and fixings with the manufacturer.
- Read component and whole-structure load limits separately.
- Follow the specified assembly and inspection routine.
Do not improvise a reinforcement or overload test in place of the supplied instructions. If furniture becomes loose, damaged or unstable, stop using it until the problem is resolved.
