Machine-wash an AeroMat only according to the care label supplied with the exact mat. The current product page says machine-washable care, but it does not publish a temperature, programme, spin setting, detergent instruction or drying method.
Read the full label before loading the machine
Check the maximum temperature, cycle type, permitted cleaning products and whether the mat should be washed alone. Look for instructions concerning the waterproof backing and bound edge. Do not apply a routine from another quilted mat simply because it looks similar.
Inspect before washing
Remove loose hair as the instructions allow and check the surface, seams, binding and underside. Washing does not repair a split seam or lifting backing. Pause and ask for product-specific advice if the structure is damaged or the label is missing.
Keep mat size and machine capacity separate
The AeroMat sizes are 40 × 50cm, 50 × 70cm and 70 × 100cm. A mat fitting inside a drum does not prove that the load, folding or movement is suitable for the appliance. Follow both the mat's care label and the washing-machine instructions.
Do not invent a drying method
Machine-washable does not mean tumble-dryable. Confirm whether the mat should be air-dried, laid flat or handled another way, and wait until all layers and the bound edge are dry before returning it to the cat's resting area.
Check the result before reuse
Inspect for distortion, damaged seams, loose material or changes to the backing. Place the fully dry mat on an appropriate clean surface and observe whether it remains flat during ordinary voluntary use.
