Check the product first
- Compare each usable perch, condo interior and entrance with both cats’ measurements.
- Check whether any stated load limit applies to a component or the whole structure.
- Ask whether the manufacturer specifies simultaneous use and any installation conditions.
- Follow assembly, anchoring and maintenance instructions.
A per-cat weight limit cannot simply be multiplied by the number of cats to calculate a tested total capacity.
Look at access, not just height
Check whether a cat can reach and leave a resting spot without passing the other cat. Several levels may still share one narrow route. No particular platform count guarantees that cats will avoid competition.
